Talk with your
peers about new biotechnology. Meet in frequent, small, local groups
to find local partners and collaborators you can trust. Bio entrepreneurs
need capital, but they first need EXPERIENCED business partners and
a friendly market. Don't just ask someone to fund great science.

Millions of genes exist, but only ~40,000 are used to make humans, and
most of them are variants of a much smaller number in a core set. New
genes can easily be designed, but that doesn't mean they'll be incorporated
into a densely engineered organism. Similarly, it's rare that an economy
actually needs or uses new products, no matter how intriguing. New products
are cultural mutations - few confer sustainable value. Sustainable survival
means your product or service helps achieve "more order" in the economy,
so that life is better for everyone. Success means becoming indispensable to
an established, stable supply chain.
